There is an opening reception in The Hub at the Burlington Centre at 7pm. Feel free to stop by later, as the work will be on display until Sun, Oct 22.
I just found out last night that one of the pieces I entered was among the 40 juried in out of 140 submissions.
ArtWalk & a Commission
Jul 1, 2023
I am thankful for the meaningful conversations I had and new connections I made at the ArtWalk earlier this month. When I had chances to visit other artists in their booths, I asked deeper probing questions to those who featured spiritual themes in their work. They were inspired by meditation practices and...

It was an enriching experience to participate for the second time in the Pelham Art Festival. The curated collections of the jurors were all posted in the online festival, and two of my pieces were selected for the architecture collection: https://pelhamartfestival.com/curated-architecture-2023
Three More Exhibits!
Feb 9, 2023
Lately I have been bringing paintings to shows while the paint was still wet, so I have 3 new ones. I helped hang and take down the BFAA “Home” exhibit, but you still have chances to see the work. It will remain displayed on the BFAA website for a few more days. Check it out here...
Hamilton & Fonthill Exhibits
Dec 22, 2022
I get that this must be a busy time of year for you, so I’ll spare you the trips to my two current exhibitions. Last month I went to McMaster Innovation Park for the opening gala of their massive group exhibition. On the second floor are my two views of the escarpment, conveying both ruggedness and frailty with palette...
Where Am I Landing Next?
Nov 17, 2022
“A Place to Land” is an apt title for my exhibition with the Portage Arts Group, a collective of talented artists of faith who are focused on the therapeutic side of art-making. We are all the product of many diverse living environments both physical and relational. Our imagination and creative processes in turn inhabit...
Art Talk & Some Exhibitions
Oct 31, 2022
I have been taking painting classes for the last two months, so I will share with you soon what I am working on. Besides the alumni show at Redeemer, I also had the privilege to exhibit and talk about my art in front of 120 people at a seniors’ luncheon at my church. Burlington mayor Marianne Meed Ward...
Artistry by the Lake Recap
Jul 8, 2022
I wanted to wish you a Happy Canada Day in a new update, but day and night I was busy preparing, packing and exhibiting my work. It was a new experience for me to be at an outdoor art fair, where I worked on my painting of Venice and learned a lot of practical tips from other artists about outdoor shows.
Festival Recap & Book Launch
May 29, 2022
The Pelham Art Festival I took part in was a big hit, and I am grateful for people like you who were able to come meet me and my mom there. I sold the original and prints of “Climbing a Rock Face,” which had won 2nd place in a teen juried show back in 2014. That same drawing is now curated among the best portraits

Time's Ticking on this Exhibition
Feb 12, 2022
No one can stop time from passing by, but as an artist I am able to capture a moment in an enduring physical form. And in this latest exhibition by fine artists at the Art Gallery of Burlington, we explore various aspects of time (present, past, seasons, changes over time, and how time is measured) through our choices of subject
Christmas Market Recap
Dec 22, 2021
It has been over two weeks since Braeside Camp's Drive-Thru Nativity & Christmas Market. I have since completed an online oil painting course (and unpacked decorations), but I wanted to show you the presentation of my pieces on the two days of the sale. Here is how I arranged them for the first evening.
Experimenting with New Media
Nov 4, 2021
A lot has happened since I last wrote to you, so I would like to show you some samples of my creative journey from the last few months. As you may know I have taken Illustration courses, and my professors introduced me to an assortment of materials in the process. Here is one of my abstract ink environments.
